silent speeches (PRE-ORDER)
silent speeches is a book on the non-compliant force of sound in contemporary art and a career-spanning catalog focusing on the employment of music, songs, and silence in the work of the artist duo Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz.
Four essays by authors Lucrezia Calabrò Visconti, André Lepecki, Noemi Michel, and Irene Revell tend to noisy silences, whistle-blowing, protest, telepathic transmission, deep listening, non-binary echoes and other queer objects in the duo’s experimental work.
This book was published on the occasion of Pauline Boudry & Renate Lorenz’s exhibition how we always survived, Istituto Svizzero, Rome.
The book is currently available for preorder. All copies will be shipped no later than November 15.
