Walter Prati

is a composer, cellist, and electronic performer. He graduated in Electronic Composition from the G. Verdi Conservatory in Milan in 1981. His artistic career spans numerous commissions and performances at music and theatre festivals in Italy and abroad, including Teatro alla Scala, Milano Musica, the Cologne Triennale, Huddersfield Contemporary Music Festival, CCA Glasgow, and the Akademie der Künste in Berlin. He has released works with Ricordi, BMG Ariola, Pentaflowers, Auditorium Edizioni, and ECM Records. He teaches Sound Design at the Istituto Europeo di Design in Milan and Electroacoustic Music Composition at the G. Verdi Conservatory in Como.
