Vincenzo Estremo

holds an International PhD in Media, Film, and Communication Studies from the University of Udine and the University of Arts Linz (Kunstuniversität Linz). He is currently PhD Course Leader for the PhD in Artistic Practice at NABA, Milan, developed in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg and the AFAM Doctoral Programme. Estremo is a member of the Scientific Committee of Careof, Milan, and directs The Collective for the Critical Study of Distribution and Circulation at the University of Gothenburg. A moving-image theorist, he regularly contributes to Flash Art, Il Tascabile, and cheFare. In 2026, he received the Flash Art Award in the Writing category. His publications include Extended Temporalities: Transient Visions in Museum and Art (Mimesis International, 2016), Albert Serra: Cinema, Arte e Performance (Mimesis Edizioni, 2018), Teoria del lavoro reputazionale (Milieu Edizioni, 2020), Indistinzione (PS Editore, 2023), Variante digitale (Postmedia Books, 2024), and Cronofagia e Media (Meltemi, 2024).
