Marta Federici
(1988) is a curator and art historian. She co-directs Lateral Roma (Rome), an independent space that extends its research beyond traditional exhibition formats towards the experimentation of critical practices of exchange and artistic production. She worked in the curatorial departments of Madre – Museo d’Arte Contemporanea Donnaregina in Naples (2024–2026) and MACTE – Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Termoli (2021–2024). As an independent curator, she has curated exhibitions and projects at institutions and independent art spaces, including Museo delle Civiltà, Rome; Istituto Svizzero, Rome; 3 137, Athens; Magazzino Italian Art, Cold Spring, New York; Kunsthalle Winterthur, Switzerland; Short Theatre festival, Rome; Real Academia de España en Roma, Rome; and Almanac Inn, Turin. Her writings have appeared in art magazines such as Flash Art and NERO Magazine, as well as in publications including Isabella Ducrot (Hatje Cantz Verlag, 2026), Tell Me Stories!
