Lorenzo Senni

(1983) is a multidisciplinary artist, composer and producer, originally from Cesena and based in Milan. He studied musicology at DAMS in Bologna. For Senni, visual art and music are part of a single artistic thought; this is evident in the work he did in collaboration with John Divola for the cover of his latest album, Scacco Matto, and in performances such as Vandalize Music. Throughout his career, he has performed and exhibited his work in internationally renowned institutions including Centre Pompidou Paris, MACBA, TATE Modern, MAXXI Museo nazionale delle arti del XXI secolo, Serpentine Gallery London, Pirelli Hangar Bicocca Milan. Senni is also the first Italian artist to have released the EP Persona on the prestigious British label Warp Records in 2016, with which he won the prestigious Prix Ars Electronica. The artist has also composed some of the music for director Yuri Ancarani’s films, including Da Vinci, The Challenge and Atlantis.
