Gillian Rose
is Professor of Human Geography at the University of Oxford. As a cultural geographer, her work focuses on visual methods, digital technologies, and the politics and techniques of knowledge production about places. She is the author of Visual Methodologies: An Introduction to Researching with Visual Materials (5th ed., 2022) and Feminism and Geography: The Limits to Geographical Knowledge (1993), a key intervention in feminist geography. Her latest book, Animated Urbanism: Bringing Cities to Smart Digital Life, will be published by Minnesota University Press later this year.
