NERO is an international publishing house devoted to art, criticism and contemporary culture. Founded in Rome in 2004, it publishes artists’ books, catalogs, editions and essays.

NERO explores present and future imaginaries beyond any field of specialization, format or code – as visual arts, music, philosophy, politics, aesthetics or fictional narrations – extensively investigating unconventional perspectives and provocative outlooks to decipher the essence of this ever changing reality.

Eva Wilson

is a London-based writer currently working on a thesis on virtuality and the virtual image in the nineteenth century. She was a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Advanced Studies BildEvidenz (Freie Universität Berlin), and part of the editorial team of documenta 14 in Kassel and Athens, director of Schinkel Pavillon Berlin, and curator at Thyssen-Bornemisza Art Contemporary (TBA21), Vienna. With Adam Gibbons, she is a co-commissioning editor of the book series “ ” (NERO), which looks at the forms and roles of publishing within artists’ practices.
