NERO is an international publishing house devoted to art, criticism and contemporary culture. Founded in Rome in 2004, it publishes artists’ books, catalogs, editions and essays.
NERO explores present and future imaginaries beyond any field of specialization, format or code – as visual arts, music, philosophy, politics, aesthetics or fictional narrations – extensively investigating unconventional perspectives and provocative outlooks to decipher the essence of this ever changing reality.
is the founding director of Alpina Huus, a research platform exploring performance and domestic space active across art institutions internationally. She is currently curator at La Becque | Artists Residency in La Tour-de-Peilz, where she is developing a garden, archive, and artistic programme in homage to Derek Jarman. Since 2019, she has been researching the life and work of the late Cathy Josefowitz (1956-2014), culminating with a retrospective presented at Kunsthaus Langenthal, Centre culturel suisse Paris and MACRO Roma in 2021-22.
