NERO is an international publishing house devoted to art, criticism and contemporary culture. Founded in Rome in 2004, it publishes artists’ books, catalogs, editions and essays.

NERO explores present and future imaginaries beyond any field of specialization, format or code – as visual arts, music, philosophy, politics, aesthetics or fictional narrations – extensively investigating unconventional perspectives and provocative outlooks to decipher the essence of this ever changing reality.

Caterina De Nicola

is an artist born in Ortona (IT) in 1991, currently based in Zürich (CH). In her practice a post-postmodernist skepticism becomes a recurring mechanism, frequently borrowing from others, Caterina De Nicola treats taste as a tool. As a dj and producer, she is mostly affiliated with the Zürich based music label and collective Czarnagora. To influence her musical production are subgenres of Noise music, which can sometimes be musical, bringing no-fi aesthetics to its extensions.
