Aterraterra
is a duo formed by Fabio Aranzulla and Luca Cinquemani that works in a multidisciplinary way, intersecting art, agriculture and science. Aterraterra's research questions the possibility of forms of cultivation and food that are critical of power structures and aware of their own anthropocentrism. Aterraterra's artistic projects address issues of multi-species relationships, forms of genetic discipline in agriculture, post-agricultural and post-linguistic perspectives, foraging as a practice of resistance, and the ever-shifting cultural limit of the concept of edibility. The duo also investigates the difficult heritage of food plants, the relationship between cultural institutions and non-human forms of life, and the ecological transformations brought about by climate change.
