Antonio Rovaldi
(b. 1975). He studied Art and Photography at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan, from which he graduated in 2000 after studying under Hidetishi Nagasawa and Mario Cresci. Since then, his artistic practice has investigated the perception of landscape and places by linking the languages of photography to those of video and sound installation. A recurring element in his research is the representation of distance—both physical and mental—between real and literary places, collective spaces and autobiographical memories. In 2017, in his Milanese studio in Via Padova 27, he founded CLER: an exhibition project that explores the languages of photography in relation to other artistic practices. He teaches Progettazione degli Spazi Urbani e Territoriali at the Politecnico delle Arti in Bergamo.
